Dir. Matt DugganDirector Matt Duggan and Producer Stephanie Bell found me over the internet, searching for a composer for TAG. There were some big festival deadlines looming, and because of another project I was finishing up, I ended up with only about four days to write and produce the score, with one day afterward for any revisions. As it was, I don't think extra time would have produced a better score, and both Matt and Stephanie seemed to agree. The score itself follows the ideology that 'bigger is better.' Or at least, 'bigger is funnier.' TAG is the story of Shane Wayne, a long-time tag-player who after ten years has never once been tagged. Frustrated about this record, the council hires an assassin to track him down and end his legacy. The story follows Shane's narrow evasion and subsequent victory over the hitman. The score features all sorts of styles, but centers around big orchestral drama.
